Eligibility & Courses :-
The World Education Mission offers substantial sponsorship, covering up to 100% of tuition fees based on individual merit. This support is contingent upon fulfilling specific requirements: maintaining a minimum attendance of 90%, maintaining a strong academic record with a minimum of 70% marks in both Senior Secondary (12th grade) and graduation, and demonstrating exemplary discipline throughout the first year of the chosen programme. These criteria are crucial for the continuous renewal of the scholarship into subsequent years, ensuring that recipients not only excel academically but also exhibit commitment to their studies and uphold standards of conduct. - The candidate must maintain a minimum attendance of 75% in each subject of study separately.
- The candidate must adhere to the discipline of the respective institution.
- The applicant is required to submit ₹15,500/- as part of the course fee per year along with a post-dated cheque for the remaining fee.
- The World Education Mission will facilitate reimbursement of up to 100% of the fee to the candidate from third-party granting agencies, contingent upon the candidate fulfilling the terms and conditions specified by the granting agency.
- Upon receiving the grant from the granting agency, the applicant must submit the remaining program fee to the university.
- Only in the case of a successful grant of scholarship from the granting agency will the university demand the remaining balance fee from the candidate.
- If the candidate's scholarship is declined by the granting agency due to attendance or disciplinary issues, the candidate will be responsible for paying the remaining fee.
- In case of refusal of the scholarship by the granting agency for any reason for which the candidate is not responsible, the World Education Mission will submit the balance fee of the candidate to the university.

The Managing Committee of World Education Mission, the sponsoring body of Arunachal University of Studies has approved establishment of Governor's Chair for providing scholarships to Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe (APST) students under BPL Category. The expenses of scholarships will be borne by World Education Mission along with various government and non-government social organizations. World Education Mission is intended to provide scholarship to 150 deserving candidates for the academic year 2024-25 under the Governor's Chair.

The Arunachal University of Studies (AUS) has been incorporated on the principles of Lord Gautam Buddha. Lord Buddha’s teachings have had a lasting influence on educational practices, emphasising wisdom ethical conduct and mental discipline. These principles have shaped traditional monastic education and continue to inspire modern educational approaches that prioritise holistic development, mind fullness and ethical leaving.
Establishing a Gautam Buddha Chair in a university aims to promote academic research and interdisciplinary studies on Buddhist philosophy, preserve and disseminate cultural heritage, integrate ethical principles and mindfulness practices into education, and enhance the university's prestige by attracting students and scholars interested in Buddhism. This initiative supports international collaboration, cultural exchange, and the application of Buddhist insights to contemporary issues such as conflict resolution and sustainable living.

Under the Gautam Buddha Chair at the Arunachal University of Studies (AUS), a scholarship programme has been introduced to support students from any community or religion who believe in the principles of Lord Gautam Buddha and have a family income of less than ₹2,50,000 per annum. Recipients of this scholarship are required to undertake a mandatory elective in Buddhist Studies each semester alongside their regular coursework.
The students under this Scholarship will receive upto 50% of the Course fee reimbursement from World Education Mission for pursuing their studies.
By reducing financial barriers, the scholarship aims to facilitate greater access to higher education and empower students to achieve their spiritual, academic and professional goals.

Lord Gautam Buddha World Education Mission scholarship is applicable to all the students, whose family income is less than ₹ 2,50,000/- per annum and who believes in the principles of Lord Gautam Buddha and ready to attend one course module on Buddhist Studies alongwith their regular course, also having a recommendation from the Office of President, World Education Mission, New Delhi for any of the below mentioned courses from Arunachal University of Studies:-
